Vice President, Dean – IT College (Cloud)

As the Vice President and Dean of the Department of {Cyber Security, Data Science, Software, Cloud & IT Management} at clients College of Information Technology (COIT) you will be a respected leader in driving the education and successful outcomes of students in your field. In collaboration with other client organizations, you will also have end-to-end responsibility As the Vice President and Dean of the Department of {Cyber Security, Data Science, Software, Cloud & IT Management} at clients College of Information Technology (COIT) you will be a respected leader in driving the education and successful outcomes of students in your field. In collaboration with other client organizations, you will also have end-to-end responsibility of (a) growing the department with new, market relevant, and innovative competency-based program offerings, (b) driving industry partnerships and go-to-market strategies to bring the right students to these programs, and (c) delivering successful educational and employment outcomes for these students by leveraging and optimizing our faculty support model and employer partnerships. Your success will be measured in terms of building, delivering, and scaling the right programs profitably that cater to our underserved student population with a high-level of retention and ROI for the students. In this role, you will report to the Senior Vice President of COIT.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Direct P&L ownership experience with managing over $50M+ P&L
  • Drive a culture of continuous experimentation, measurement, and learning from data to rapidly improve the quality and delivery to students
  • Strong people leader to directly or indirectly lead a diverse team of 50+ people including academic program leaders, instructional faculty, and student coaches/mentors

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent.
  • 15 years specific experience which generally includes a minimum of 10 years leading a team which includes Directors and or multiple Managers

Department Specific Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related engineering/technical field with 15+ years of relevant experience or
  • Master’s degree in IT or related engineering/technical with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 5 years of senior leadership experience with hands-on experience in hiring, managing, and scaling significant teams
  • Ability to travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with delivering non-degree offerings on various education platforms
  • Experience with startups, SaaS companies, or other similar fast-paced and rapidly changing organizations
  • Executive presence and judgement with demonstrated experience presenting to executive management or boards of large organizations
  • 8 years of senior leadership experience with hands-on experience in hiring, managing, and scaling significant teams.
