This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader with experience in modular fabrication (modulation) and pre-assembles mechanical fabrication, modular construction, pre-assembled mechanical systems, MEP coordination, industrial construction, or skid-mounted equipment assemblies. The Mechanical Project Manager will manage multiple industrial construction projects with a scope of over $200m
What You’ll Do
- Manage mechanical fabrication and installation projects from kickoff through final completion
- Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinate closely with engineering, production, procurement, quality, logistics, field teams, and customers
- Oversee modular mechanical systems, prefabricated assemblies, and skid-mounted equipment from fabrication through transport and installation
- Support constructability reviews and modularization strategies during project planning
- Coordinate mechanical systems with electrical and plumbing components to ensure successful MEP integration
- Review drawings and specifications to identify issues before they become field problems
- Track labor, materials, subcontractor costs, project risks, and change orders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical fabrication, industrial construction, modular construction, or project management
- Strong understanding of mechanical fabrication and industrial construction processes
- Experience with modular fabrication, prefabricated assemblies, skid-mounted systems, or modular equipment packages preferred
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and trade coordination
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings/specifications
- Strong scheduling, budget management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and keep cross-functional teams aligned
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
Why This Role Is Attractive
This is an opportunity to manage sophisticated mechanical and modular fabrication projects where your ability to coordinate people, schedules, details, and execution directly impacts project success. You’ll work closely with engineering, shop leadership, production, procurement, logistics, and customers — making this a highly visible role with real ownership.
