Manager of Health Information

On-site position – no remote
Must be comfortable working in an isolated rural environment

Key qualifications:

• BS Degree with either RHIA or RHIT
• Electronic Medical Records systems experience required
• 3 years experience working in HIM
• Working knowledge of Joint Commission standards, and applicable state and federal regulations

Description:

• Responsible for ensuring optimal compliance with patient/clinical documentation that compromises the medical record, including indexing of documentation, record analysis, deficiency assignment and management, timely/compliant chart completion workflow, ensures records are maintained in accordance with state and federal retention guidelines.
• Responsible for overseeing release of health information in a timely manner compliant with regulatory requirements, forms/template management, processing of birth and death certificates and coordination of data governance efforts.
• Ensures compliance with audits, established regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Promotes a positive, team-work environment performing best practice employee/customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for development of goals, objectives, budgets, and performance standards relative to HIM operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with RHIA credential or RHIT credential required.
• Three (3) years’ experience working in an HIM environment required.
• Two (2) years’ experience with Electronic Medical Record systems required.
• Two (2) years’ experience in overseeing Release of Information processes required.
