Global Security Principal Product Strategist
Location: Tempe, Charlotte, Atlanta, Boston, Austin, Dallas, Santa Clara
The Global Security Principal Product Strategist will present and explain security solutions to stakeholders, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a security solution consisting of controls, hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, plan and drive the product roadmap for all Security projects
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and controls by defining, documenting, prioritizing, and communicating Cyber needs and requirements.
- Gather requirements, craft epics and user stories, and own/manage the entire backlog
- Works closely with product managers, project managers/scrum masters, and/or business analysts to plan product releases, and ensure analytic product road maps align with application road maps where applicable
- Lead and communicate project goals and dependencies providing regular status updates to senior leadership.
- Develop a deep understanding of our cyber needs and requirements
- Mastery-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and support of one or more of the following is required:
- Palo Alto product line eg: Cortex, PRISMA, STRATA product portfolio with Palo
- Cisco product line eg: NGFW, Umbrella, Secure-X, Mailbox Defense, SIG/SWG/SASE.
- Firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- Endpoint detection/analytics software (AMP, Sentinel One, Crowdstrike, VMware Carbon Black)
- Network Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) implementation design, configuration.
- Application security including SAST, DAST, CI/CD pipelines
Skills
- Excellent social, communication, and presentation skills
- Led CIO/CTO level presentations, solution demonstrations and whiteboard sessions
- Works cooperatively with the Security Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Transformation teams
- Organization skills and attention to detail
Competencies
- Demonstrated passion for technology, solution design and self-study
- Previous experience working in collaborative team environments
- Establish status as a Trusted Advisor with the CISO, Head of Cybersecurity Operations, Head of Data,
- Identity and Access Management, Security Engineering, and CTO.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 5+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in enterprise class network and security solutions; pre-sales strongly preferred
- Good understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing
