Financial Controller

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

The Financial Controller will be responsible for controlling of Companies entities in North America. This includes ensuring that financial reporting is completed accurately and on time, performing financial analysis, assisting in the budget and estimate process, overseeing the internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting to management and Group Finance.

Job scope:

  • In support of the FP&A Manager assist in the coordination, preparation, and analysis of annual budget and quarterly estimates.
  • Oversee the month-end close process by reviewing business results, and provide analysis of Net Working Capital elements including WIP, Inventory, AR, and AP.
  • Ensures the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting using HFM (Hyperion) and validation of the quality of the underlying data prepared by financial shared service center (FSS).
  • Share responsibility with local business controllers in leading annual external audits for their respective entities.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support as required, to include preparation of financial models to support business cases.
  • Administer and ensures compliance of corporate policies, IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Partner with FSS to address periodic issues and work to improve operational procedures.

What you bring:

  • BS/Accounting/BSc/MBA or equivalent education
  • Strong/Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working for a multinational company and in a matrixed environment.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a Controller.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving and strong organization skills.
  • Excellent written, oral and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative decision-making environment.
  • Oracle / Hyperion experience a plus
  • Experience in accounting month-end close
