Financial Analyst
Location: Murray, UT
Financial. Analyst
The purpose of the Finance Analyst is to monitor the financial resources of two divisions responsible for the Division financial analysis and support to the executive management team by offering financial insights that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial analysis and present findings and recommendations to management
- Leverage analytics and develop reporting tools to drive KPIs
- Champion cost saving enhancements to improve the company’s operating income
- Research and reconcile discrepancies in accounts, funds, or appropriation balances; prepares and audits general journal entries and accruals
- Oversee and assists in the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting
- Lead special initiatives; create, update and summarize findings for management
- Create financial proforma’s for various opportunities
- Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- This person must have strong, exceptional EXCEL skills.
- Proven strategic planning and financial analysis experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup, graphs, etc)
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
- Good understanding of the organization’s objectives, operations, market environment and ethical issues
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- A keep eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
- Adept at developing strong working relationships
- Good communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to stick to time constraints
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of following fields preferred: Accounting, Business Studies, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Management
- 2+ years of experience in a financial analytics position preferred:
- The primary work environments for this position include the office, vehicle, and in some instances outdoors.
- Nights spent away from home, traveling, are less than 15%.
This person must have strong, exceptional EXCEL skills., May currently be Financial/Business Operations Analyst and have advanced Excel/Spreadsheets Pivot Tables/V-lookups, May come from accounting or finance and comfortable creating reports that tell a story about sales/no sales; KPIs, logistics, trends, insights, preparing reports for department management. KPI, metrics. This is a strong data analytics position. Will be analytical and responsible for analysis. Office environment but may go to hybrid . Reports to Director of Technology and Business development.
