Field Service (Rigging) Foreman
Location: Lehi, UT
The Field Service Foreman position is responsible for all activities that take place on the assigned job site.
Plan, lay-out and install all necessary rigging components for lifting and installing equipment, machinery, pipe, steel, etc. in accordance with all plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
Making sure we take care of a project from start to finish is a big part of what we focus on. That means we have teams on job sites in various parts of the country that are able to take the products we have shipped from our fabrication warehouse and install them directly on site. Our rigging and tool installation teams are able to efficiently erect any structure following all safety protocols for a safe and quick install.
The key services that we provide are site verification, 3D modeling, detailing, crating, shipping, rigging, and install of equipment and tools. Our rigging and install team installs pedestals, equipment, and specialty semiconductor tools within new and operational facilities. They also are uniquely qualified and have extensive experience erecting structural steel within an operating clean room manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for all job site management activities of the rigging crew.
Develops, plans, and implements crew and alignment with customer and salesmen with direction of job.
Directs workforce to meet operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
Directly supervises and works with one or more rigging crews.
Hands on supervisory role with the ability to effectively rig utilizing forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and other necessary equipment.
Develop, train, and instruct crews in best known rigging operation practices and procedures including safety.
Work closely with safety personnel in coordinating safety training, accident, and injury investigations and reporting and equipment or property damage incidents investigations and reporting.
Build customer and employee relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Effectively manage job site projects by documenting and organizing all project information ensuring accuracy with all necessary information.
Consistently demonstrates professional conduct representative of COMPANY values.
Work alongside field technicians in assembly and erecting of machine tools.
Drive to customer job sites, work, and direct all activities on customer job sites.
Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area daily and/or when required.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Complete required paperwork.
Ability to travel out of the local area to work on occasions.
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Communicate openly and strive for peak performance in daily tasks.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ proven rigging foreman experience or comparable field preferably within the rigging industry.
Minimum 5 years’ rigging experience with forklift, skating, leveling, and anchoring of machines. Experience moving equipment and/or pedestals preferred.
Highly self-directed and motivated.
Excellent interpersonal, supervisory, and project management skills.
Must be able to work in a high functioning team environment.
