We’re on the lookout for a self-starting problem-solver with a keen eye for automation and FP&A expertise. You’ll collaborate with diverse business lines in Print and Online news channels, reporting directly to the CFO. This is your chance to shape the financial landscape of a 100-year-old privately held company backed by robust funding.

Your Impactful:

Financial Mastery: Spearhead the monthly financial close process, A/R & collections, and A/P functions, ensuring precision and timeliness.
Strategic Partner: Collaborate with senior leaders on annual budgets, reporting, variance analysis, and strategic initiatives, providing valuable business insights.
Innovative Automation: Lead efforts to automate system connections, from credit card processing to bank connections, enhancing operational efficiencies.
Systems & Controls Expert: Establish and uphold robust systems, internal controls, and data integrity while ensuring compliance with parent corporation standards.
Mentorship Leadership: Mentor and develop talent within the organization, contributing to a dynamic and skilled finance team.

Requirements:

Educational: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance (required), CPA license or Master’s Degree (preferred).
Experience: 5+ years in accounting, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and accurate financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and financial tools; ERP and system implementation experience is advantageous.
Analytical Agility: Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills to handle complex data sets for executive-level decision-making.
Autonomous & Organized: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple projects with precision.
Communication: Excellent technical, oral, and written communication skills to liaise effectively across various business lines.
