Assistant Controller
Location: Southern Utah
Position Summary:
This is a high-visibility, business-facing finance position where you’ll work directly with operations, maintenance, and plant leadership to drive cost, performance, and decision-making across a growing mining and processing operation.

Continuous improvement initiatives
You’ll have exposure to capital projects, asset tracking, and operational strategy
You’re not buried in spreadsheets—you’re helping run the business
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with cost accounting and inventory accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CPA candidate
Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry
Familiarity with:
Standard costing and variance analysis
Fixed asset accounting and capital project tracking
ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
Experience supporting audits and internal controls
