Applications Specialist

The Applications Specialist is responsible for coordination, support, training, and reporting for software applications utilized in two business divisions. This person needs to quickly become an expert in data and information platforms and will liaison between field, department management teams.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • This person must have strong, exceptional EXCEL skills.
  • Communicate and coordinate updates on applications such as: Inventory and Contract Management, Project Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Inventory Charting Programs, Sales Dashboards, etc.
  • Develop on-boarding and ongoing technical support of software systems.
  • Provide ongoing first level technical support.
  • Generate custom revenue reporting for management team
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director of Technology and Business Development, and Division President.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup, graphs, etc)
  • Reasoning, math, and language skills should be performed at an advanced level.
  • Advanced understanding and documented experience of MS Excel, Access, or other database system.
  • Experience in at least one or more CRM or Project Management platform (i.e. Salesforce, Sugar, Monday.com, GanttPro, etc).
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences through verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete several projects simultaneously.
  • Adept at understanding the organizational needs and adjusting priorities accordingly.
  • Ability to identity critical tasks independently and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Dedication and willingness to support others, and display empathy when supporting team members.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in related discipline.
  • 2-3+ years information system experience preferred.
  • SAS certifications in related discipline preferred.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The primary work environment is an office.  May go Hybrid.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%.
